Exterminate lice
Lice are approximately 3 mm parasites that feed on blood, with a life cycle of 2 to 3 weeks; females lay around ten nits per day near the scalp. As the larvae hatch after 5 to 10 days, treatment should be repeated after 7 to 9 days. The natural approach consists of adding tea tree and/or lavandin essential oils to shampoo for prevention, or rubbing the scalp daily with a mixture of coconut and neem oil plus lavandin, these oils acting by asphyxiation. Neutral henna is also suggested to reduce lice adhesion.
