Pain & Recovery

Magnesium, calcium, meadowsweet, red vine and wintergreen essential oils: the complete natural approach to relieve and treat muscle pain in depth.

Key points

  • Magnesium (cocoa) and calcium (baobab): essential for proper muscle function
  • Meadowsweet: analgesic and anti-inflammatory action
  • Red vine, horse chestnut: vascular relaxants and decongestants
  • Wintergreen EO + arnica macerate: muscle preparation and recovery

Minerals first

In terms of minerals, magnesium (cocoa) and calcium (baobab) are essential for proper muscle function. You can also provide them externally through salt baths, notably Epsom salt or magnesium sulfate, very effective after exertion.

Anti-inflammatory plants

If it concerns cramps or contractures, plants will both relieve and treat the problem in depth: meadowsweet will have an analgesic and anti-inflammatory action, red vine and horse chestnut are vascular relaxants and decongestants, birch and dandelion are drainers of muscle tissue. Nettle, horsetail and alfalfa are remineralizing.

Muscle aromatherapy

To prepare the muscle and help it recover, use products based on wintergreen essential oil, tarragon and arnica macerate. If the tissue is damaged, helichrysum (immortelle) essential oil will work wonders. Don't forget to provide good proteins for muscle reconstruction.

For cramps and exertion

If you are prone to cramps, think of B vitamins (present in brewer's yeast) but also coenzyme Q10. Always put an ampoule of Quinton plasma in your water bottle during exertion, or drink coconut water. In homeopathy, it is recommended to take Arnica 5 CH before exertion and Cuprum 5 CH as soon as cramps appear.
