Immunity & Allergies

Nigella oil, Aflugenex and Citogenex probiotics, plantain, eyebright: natural treatment aims to calm flare-ups and regulate immune functions.

Key points

  • Nigella oil (black cumin): very effective internal courses for prevention
  • Aflugenex, Citogenex (probiotics): immune modulation, available in store
  • Plantain, eyebright, nettle: relief of allergic symptoms
  • Quercetin (cabbage, onion, Novastamin): natural anti-allergic flavonoid

Phytotherapeutic approach to allergy

In phytotherapy, natural treatment aims to calm flare-ups and relieve symptoms, support the functioning of the nervous system, ensure hepato-biliary drainage and regulate immune functions. Plantain is particularly effective in any form (infused, hydrosol, fresh plant extract), as are eyebright, nettle and licorice. Blackcurrant is also widely used in gemmotherapy together with viburnum.

Nigella oil and probiotics

Internal courses of nigella oil (black cumin) are very effective in prevention. Some probiotics can also help reduce allergies and food intolerances by modulating your immunity, notably Aflugenex and Citogenex, available at the pharmacy.

The anti-allergic diet

Reduce your consumption of animal proteins, dairy products and refined sugars, which exhaust the liver and promote a state of chronic acidosis. Favor carrots, parsley and pineapple, but also vegetables from the cabbage and onion family, very rich in quercetin, an anti-allergic flavonoid (Novastamin), as well as foods rich in vitamin C, since it prevents the secretion of histamine by white blood cells.

In case of a contact reaction

If you develop redness in an area that has been in contact with a substance, it is a contact allergy: immediately apply German chamomile essential oil diluted in calendula macerate, or German chamomile hydrosol. For recurrent allergic terrains, courses of astragalus support the adrenal glands, and Q10 and selenium reduce the frequency of flare-ups.
